Morning Glory in the news

Stories of the Morning Glory (the Gulf of Carpenteria one!) are popping up in the news, which is just adding to the whole excitement! There was a story on The 7pm project last night and ABC Radio National ran a story this morning.

The 7pm project piece talks about the hang gliders going up there and include some footage from last year's Red Bull video (Mark Watston filming Jon Duran) It is a great professionally filmed video which is definately worth watching if you haven't seen it already (links below).  With regards to the comments in the 7PM project story, I'm not crazy - I'm doing it in a glider, not a hang glider ; )

The audio from the ABC piece is not on the site yet, but it should be soon. I've included the link below.

Here is the link to the 7pm project story (it's after the bit on Mel Gibson):  http://7pmproject.com.au/video.htm?movideo_p=39696&movideo_m=69078

If you spot anything else, feel free to put the links up in the comments. One of the locals has lined up interviews with ABC a bit everywhere to promote tourism to the area so probably see more popping up.

They've also confirmed that the Morning Glory chasers (and film crews!) have started arriving in Burketown and that the first Morning Glory clouds of the season have come through! Let's hope they keep on coming.

Preparations going well - will post on that a bit later today or tomorrow.
